Know before you book

· The last stretch is a gravel road. It's well maintained, and any normal car handles it fine. · Trash goes to the front entry. The garbage service won't drive down our private road, so bins are at the front of the property. · No cable TV. The smart TV streams over fiber WiFi, so bring your logins.

Cancellation: 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days prior to check-in (minus merchant processing fees). 50% refund if canceled between 7 and 14 days prior to check-in. No refund on the nightly rate if canceled less than 7 days prior to check-in. Always refund 100% of the cleaning fee for any cancellation made prior to the check-in hour. If the cleaner does not have to turn the unit, keeping that fee almost guarantees a lost credit card chargeback. Cancellations eligible for a full refund are subject to a 3.5% credit card processing fee deduction. If you must cancel within the non-refundable window, we will immediately reopen the dates on our calendar. If the property rebooks for those nights, we will gladly refund you the amount recovered, minus a $50 re-listing fee.

I’m a civil engineer and builder who has spent decades working with land and structures. Of Stone and Wood grew out of a practical respect for natural materials and my love of the Ozarks in North Arkansas. Whether it is preserving the 1920s native stonework of the Carrie Tucker House in Hardy or designing custom, secluded timber retreats like The Hideaway and Solitude in Mammoth Spring, the focus is always the same: create spaces that belong in their environment and offer an unhurried place to recharge. As a host, I keep things straightforward. You will find solid construction, total privacy, and fast, direct communication whenever you need it—giving you the space to enjoy the woods, the river, and your time away.
