Built in the late 1920s from native Arkansas stone, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Carrie Tucker House sits on Main Street in Hardy, looking out over the Spring River. Have coffee on the front porch with the river in view all year, walk into town for antiques and dinner, and end the night at the fire pit under the string lights.

What this place offers

Know before you book

It's on Main Street, which is also US Highway 62/63. You'll hear some traffic during the day. A train runs through Hardy. You'll hear it pass now and then. Most guests end up liking it. We’ve never heard its horn. Old floors have a voice. The hardwood creaks in places, the way it should in a 1928 house. One bathroom for up to four guests. No cable TV. The smart TV streams over WiFi. Pets are welcome but don’t let them on the furniture and keep them in your kennel if you leave them inside.

Cancellation: 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days prior to check-in (minus merchant processing fees). 50% refund if canceled between 7 and 14 days prior to check-in. No refund on the nightly rate if canceled less than 7 days prior to check-in. Always refund 100% of the cleaning fee for any cancellation made prior to the check-in hour. If the cleaner does not have to turn the unit, keeping that fee almost guarantees a lost credit card chargeback. Cancellations eligible for a full refund are subject to a 3.5% credit card processing fee deduction. If you must cancel within the non-refundable window, we will immediately reopen the dates on our calendar. If the property rebooks for those nights, we will gladly refund you the amount recovered, minus a $50 re-listing fee.
