Pine Cone Vintage RV – A Little Step Back in Time Nestled on 50 secluded acres in the foothills of Arkansas’ Ouachita Mountains, Lone Cedar Cabins offers a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, history, and the simple pleasures of life. We are just 8 miles from DeGray Lake State Park and 18 miles from Hot Springs National Park, making us a wonderful home base for exploring the area while still enjoying your own quiet corner of the woods. Since beginning our journey in 1991, we have built our cabins with our own hands, using reclaimed wood and materials salvaged from old barns and homes. Each of our accommodations has its own character and story, but Pine Cone may be the most personal of them all. Purchased new in 1957 by Dawn’s grandparents, John and Lorena Cline, this little vintage camp trailer holds a lifetime of precious memories. We’ve lovingly restored and maintained it while preserving as much of its original character as possible. From the wood paneling to the pink stove, refrigerator, kitchen sink, and tiny bathroom fixtures, much of Pine Cone’s mid-century charm is still right where it belongs. It’s truly a labor of love! Decorated in a retro 1950s style, Pine Cone offers a full-size bed, a compact kitchen and living area, a small indoor bathroom, and its own heating and air system. Because space is limited, we’ve added a spacious covered porch with a ceiling fan, table and chairs, a BBQ grill, and an outdoor shower so you can enjoy the fresh air and a little extra room to relax. Tucked away among the trees, Pine Cone is an affordable, one-of-a-kind getaway for a solo traveler or a couple looking for something a little different. It’s not a modern hotel room or a spacious cabin, but a chance to slow down, enjoy a simpler time, and spend a few days in a little piece of our family history. Happy Trails!
What this place offers
Fully equipped kitchen with all the ‘fixin’s’ for coffee & tea. New full-size bed. Bathroom has original small flushing toilet, sink & small shower. Linens & towels provided. TV/VCR/DVD with an abundance of great classic movies. Radio/CD player, bring your favorite CD’s. Covered porch with ceiling fan. Outdoor shower, outdoor fire pit & charcoal BBQ grill. Enjoy good old-fashioned fun with cards, puzzles, games & books. Hiking trail, bird & wildlife watching, stocked catfish pond. Large old school swing-set by the pond area.
Know before you book
*No pets. A fee of 200.00 will be charged for violation of pet policy. If you are traveling with a certified service animal—please let us know before your arrival. We do not allow emotional support animals. *No children as this is a small vintage RV and it is definitely NOT childproof. *Please note that this is a small trailer. This vintage classic may not be comfortable for the tall or husky folk.
Cancellation: *Cancellation notice must be received at least 3 weeks prior to scheduled arrival date for a full refund of your deposit. If received less than 3 weeks, you will not receive a refund. *We do not give refunds for early departure or cancellation due to weather, acts of God, loss of electricity or break down of any appliance. If anything does break down, please contact us immediately. *Please understand we are a family-based business, and we depend upon you keeping reservations. We are doing our best to avoid an upfront cleaning fee and to keep our rates affordable. Please treat our Pine Cone as if it were your own. Everybody deserves a clean and well-kept place. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

A NOTE FROM THE CABIN KEEPERS: It is our hope that our passion for detail is evident in the building and decoration of our cabins. We have personally torn down old houses and barns. Each reclaimed piece is used with care and thoughtful placement. The landscape that surrounds us is our inspiration. The peaceful valley with its endless trees sets our minds at ease and is the perfect medicine even on the most stressful of days.
